Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and safety/regulatory systems (ISO, SQF, HACCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence. This position is responsible for overseeing production, distribution, warehousing, maintenance, inventory control, quality assurance, and employee development while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate all plant operations to meet production, quality, safety, and profitability objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, train, and develop plant personnel and management teams.
  • Establish and manage production schedules to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Monitor production costs and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce expenses.
  • Ensure plant equipment and facilities are properly maintained and operating safely.
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, logistics, purchasing, and shipping teams to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Analyze plant performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Participate in corporate training and leadership meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable manufacturing standards and quality systems.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience in food production, consumer products, or a related industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing supervisors, managers, or production teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in high-speed manufacturing environments utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.
  • Familiarity with ISO, SQF, AIB, HACCP, or similar quality and safety systems is preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.
