Job summary

Confidential Jobs is seeking a Plant Manager to own the full operational and financial performance of a high‑complexity, engineered‑to‑order manufacturing plant. You will report to the Director of Operations and drive Lean culture, safety, quality, and capital projects across multiple shifts to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities include leading lean operations, building quality practices, developing leaders, and championing technology adoption to sustain transformation and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience managing operations in a general manufacturing environment.
• Budgeting, quality assurance and equipment troubleshooting experience.
• Experience building or operating a Lean model with pull, kitting and visual management.

The Plant Manager owns the full operational & financial performance of a high complexity, engineered to order manufacturing plant that builds custom products for major commercial projects. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this is a highly visible role as the plant joins a growing multi site portfolio, with a mandate to protect a mature Lean operating culture (pull production, kitting, visual management, corrective action) & keep raising the bar.

Job responsibilities include:

• Own plant operations, safety, quality, OpEx, production & efficiency across a multi shift environment
• Lead & mature the plant's Lean operating system as an owner, not a caretaker
• Build out formal quality management practices toward a compliance ready state
• Develop managers & supervisors into a Winning Culture with strong succession depth
• Champion new technology adoption; this plant is often first to pilot
• Create, recommend & manage capital projects supporting the plant's transformation
• Assure attainment of business objectives & schedules while exceeding customer quality standards on complex, custom products

Requirements

• Proven managerial experience in a general manufacturing environment, ideally engineered to order or high complexity/custom operations
• Hands on experience with budgeting, quality assurance & equipment troubleshooting
• Experience operating or building a Lean model (pull systems, kitting, visual management, corrective action)
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or equivalent experience
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt a plus
• Builder's mindset, collaborative leadership style, & comfort bringing clarity to ambiguity
