Job summary

Alberici is seeking a Plant Manager for Hillsdale Fabricators to lead production, maintenance, quality, and related operations on site. The role oversees labor relations, budgets, and continuous improvement initiatives across North America.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of plant or general management experience in manufacturing, including union environments, with strong budget and process improvement skills. Travel to various sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years' plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination.
• Experience managing in a union environment is required.
• Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements is required.
• Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures is required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages plant operations with responsibility for production, maintenance, quality and related activities.
• Manages labor relations and union issues among craft labor.
• Establishes and monitors overall plant performance against production and quality standards.
• Controls and minimizes repair expenses and downtime.
• Maintains existing plant facilities and equipment; plans replacements or adjustments as needed.
• Provides leadership and training to meet company goals and objectives and to support safety and continuous improvement.
• Implements preventative maintenance programs and maintains shop floor organization and plant cleanliness.
• Oversees non-supervisory staff and interface with offsite teams as required.
• Travels to company and subsidiary offices and to client, subcontractor, and supplier locations across North America.
• Maintains regular attendance as required.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Plant Manager directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities as a part ofHillsdale Fabricators, a premier structural steel fabricator and erector.

Essential Responsibilities & Dutiesinclude the following; however, other duties may be assigned. • Directs and manages Responsible for labor relations and managing union issues associated with craft labor.
• Manages capital asset maintenance.
• Establishes and monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
• Controls and minimizes repair expenses.
• Maintains existing plant facilities and equipment; replaces or makes adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
• Provides leadership and training to accomplish Company goals and objectives.
• Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
• Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
• Manages and directs non-supervisory administrative or union employees and is responsible for the overall direction and management of these employees.
• Travels to Company and subsidiary offices; offsite client, subcontractor, and supplier meetings; and other locations across North America to fulfill the essential duties of the role as required.
• Exhibits regular and reliable attendance in person as required by the Supervisor, Company guidelines, and/or project and office obligations.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree and 5 years' plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.
