Job summary

Lunova Group in Greensboro, NC, is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations, safety, quality, and cost objectives across a 100+ employee facility.

You will drive Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement, develop teams, manage budgets, and partner with senior leadership to set priorities and deliver operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead all daily manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Provide steady, visible leadership while maintaining employee engagement and productivity.
• Foster a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with EH&S requirements.
• Develop, coach, and support salaried and hourly employees.
• Drive operational efficiency through Lean, 5S, CI, and standardized processes.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Customer Service, Engineering, and other departments.
• Lead daily production meetings, KPI reviews, and Gemba walks.
• Oversee maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Manage plant resources, labor, and operating expenses while controlling costs.
• Maintain compliance with quality management systems and applicable regulatory standards.
• Use structured problem-solving to address production and quality challenges.
• Partner with senior leadership on priorities, workforce planning, and business initiatives.
• Foster a positive, accountable work environment through clear communication.

About the Role:

As Plant Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of daily operations, including production, maintenance, scheduling, logistics, and quality. You'll be responsible for maintaining operational efficiency, developing and supporting employees, and ensuring the facility meets its safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This position requires a strong, hands‑on leader who can make sound decisions, build trust across teams, and create an environment focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead large manufacturing teams, develop employees, and drive operational performance.
• Experience managing plant budgets, controlling operating costs, and driving financial and operational performance.
• Previous experience as a Plant Manager, Operations Manager, or in a comparable senior manufacturing leadership role.
• Experience managing large, complex manufacturing operations, ideally with 100+ employees.
• Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Demonstrated ability to manage safety, quality, production, maintenance, and cost objectives.
• Strong communication, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
• A hands‑on, adaptable leadership style with the ability to build trust and accountability across all levels of an organization.
