Plant Manager (Project Management)
The Plant Manager must act according to Leedo's core values, which emphasize controls in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. This person is responsible for directing personnel and day-to-day activities in a manufacturing plant, in accordance with plant policies and procedures, utilizing the company's Production Control Management System.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Exercise direct supervision over production and manufacturing processes of the plant.
- Establish a world-class safety environment, including a behavioral-based safety culture.
- Assist in planning and establishing plant budgets.
- Ensure complete and on-time delivery to customers.
- Maintain responsibility for the quality of processed cabinetry.
- Oversee preventive maintenance actions performed daily to company standards.
- Lead by example regarding attendance, PPE use, breaks, and drive compliance in all areas.
- Maintain the facility and equipment in safe and functional condition.
- Stay updated on current manufacturing methodologies and recommend improvements.
- Track plant performance against operational metrics and objectives, taking appropriate actions to ensure safety, productivity, cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.
- Control manufacturing costs within budget and lead cost-saving initiatives.
- Support initiatives to maintain positive employee relations.
- Plan staffing to meet production requirements, ensure efficient work allocation, and monitor overtime fairness.
- Maintain cross-training to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts using lean practices to reduce waste.
- Enforce departmental processes and promote process improvements.
- Strive to make the facility a best-in-class LEAN operation by deploying appropriate LEAN tools.
- Develop and implement growth plans by promoting the facility to current and new customers for additional profitable business.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and other stakeholders to deploy best practices across warehouses.

- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is desirable.
- Basic math skills and ability to read measurement tools.
- Urgency in completing daily duties and goals.
- Knowledge of wood manufacturing is preferred.
Education and Experience:
- College degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of extensive manufacturing leadership experience.
- Knowledge of wood manufacturing preferred.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Factory environment involving heavy lifting and PPE use.
- Enclosed, non-air-conditioned factory with long hours of standing.
- Ability to lift large plywood sheets or parts over 50 lbs.
