Movement Search and Delivery is working with a leading manufacturing company inthe building products industry in Cullman, AL, to identify and evaluate a Plant Manager.

About the Role:

This role will manage all operational aspects of a wood products manufacturing plant. The Plant Manager leads a multi-function site business team with the primary objective of exceeding customer expectations, maintaining compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring a safe and secure work environment for all employees, while reducing cost, and achieving operational excellence.

What You Will Do:

• Drives continuous safety, quality, and environmental improvements and culture based on current Best Practices
• Interacts with upper-level management to define resource needs of the plant such as raw materials and capital projects
• Leads multi-function site business team
• Communicates the corporate vision and goals to staff and employees
• Develops, communicates and implements plant goals, business objectives, operating plans (including annual budget) and capital plans (3 – 5 years)
• Manages and develops staff and employees, including hiring, orienting, training and performance management
• Accountable for achieving forecasted financial performance results
• Contributes to the process of managing the capital projects and cost reduction process
• Manage production planning process to ensure production plan is aligned with order files and lead time expectations
• Establishes and maintains quality processes to ensure products meet standards and employees are focused on order fulfillment and customer experience metrics

What You Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Manufacturing, production, or related field.
• 10+ years of manufacturing operations experience (Wood Products Experience is a plus)
