Job Title: Plant Manager

Location: Baltimore, MD

Reporting to: Director of Operations

About the Role:

The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the facility, focusing on safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and cost management. The role oversees production, maintenance, and quality assurance functions at our Baltimore manufacturing site. The ideal candidate will lead and coordinate all manufacturing departments to meet company objectives, enhance quality systems, and boost customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

  1. Model leadership committed to health and safety, exemplifying Zero Harm as a core value (ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to safety standards).
  2. Direct the planning, organization, and efficient operation of daily activities to exceed customer expectations.
  3. Increase production capacity and workforce flexibility while minimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
  4. Ensure the safe production of quality products delivered on time and in full.
  5. Oversee overall production output and continuous optimization of manufacturing processes.
  6. Strategically allocate resources, including personnel, raw materials, machinery, and facilities.
  7. Monitor all operations, identify unsatisfactory conditions, and develop corrective actions.
  8. Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure equipment is operational.
  9. Collect and analyze data to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  10. Develop and implement systems to track performance, optimize productivity, and meet performance targets.
  11. Manage manufacturing budgets and explore cost-reduction initiatives.
  12. Apply Lean principles to improve manufacturing processes and achieve organizational goals.
  13. Address employee concerns to foster a positive work environment.
  14. Mentor and influence team members, both direct and indirect reports.
  15. Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and product policies; report issues appropriately.

  2. Ensure product compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and market demands.
  3. Achieve compliance goals and report concerns through appropriate channels, including whistleblower services.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of manufacturing experience.
  • 5 years of leadership as a Plant Manager.
  • Knowledge of business management, safety, quality, productivity, and factory operations.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for plant operations.
