An exciting opportunity awaits at a global manufacturer in Georgia, where a dynamic General Manager is being sought. The Plant General Manager is a transformational leader responsible for the overall performance of the facility, driving local strategies and manufacturing activities to maximize efficiency, quality, and profitability. This role ensures safe, consistent, and compliant operations while fostering an inclusive environment that empowers employees to reach their full potential. Leading a team of 10-12 direct reports across all business areas, the Plant General Manager aligns production with strategic goals, meets customer commitments, and drives continuous improvement and innovation.
Absolute Minimum Must Have’s / Experience / Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in a 24x7 continuous-run manufacturing operation with 3+ years of experience as a Plant Manager with a scope of 350+ employees and a revenue of $200M.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing Management or a related discipline. Master’s Degree or MBA is a plus.
- Proven skill and demonstrated application of continuous improvement practices in a manufacturing environment (Kaizen, TPS, Lean, Six Sigma, Danaher, etc)
- Experience in transforming a continuous-run manufacturing facility into a profitable flagship location.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Positive collaborations with other teams/stakeholders to achieve company goals (ie, Sales, PLM, R&D)
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management.

- In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a proactive safety culture through disciplined safety management occurring at all levels of the organization to minimize incidents and accidents.
- Participate in formulating and administering company policies, directing and coordinating team activities to develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives.
- Review analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives.
- Confer with direct staff to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
- Develop, review, update and implement business strategic planning, including sales, financial performance and new product development.
- Oversee manufacturing and materials departments to review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing and facility problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays and to meet future growth.
- Oversee key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.
- Review and support engineering and sales to oversee design concepts with fundamental or new technology used for new or existing products or improvements to provide cost reduction, safety, customer requirements and market growth.
- Analyze and define production or sourcing strategies so that operations can support planning requirements to develop new markets.
- Review and approve preparation of accounting analysis for budgetary planning and implementation, production efficiency, financial reporting, and submittal for capital expenditures.
- Implement strategies to enhance productivity, minimize downtime, reduce production costs, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and product quality requirements.
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the manufacturing team, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process.
