The Position


We are seeking a Traveling Plant Manager to provide leadership and operational support across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role is ideal for an adaptable leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn. The selected candidate will be fully trained to support all segments, including pipe, plastics, structures, precast, prestress, and stormwater plants.

About the role:



  • Travel to manufacturing locations (50-60%) to fill in as an interim Plant Manager or provide operational support.

  • Manage daily plant operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, production, and efficiency standards are met.

  • Learn and adapt to various manufacturing processes through comprehensive cross-training.

  • Support plant teams by providing leadership, troubleshooting operational challenges, and driving improvements.

  • Train, mentor, and develop plant personnel to enhance team performance.

  • Collaborate with corporate and regional leadership to align operations with company objectives.


Qualifications:



  • 3-5 years leadership experience in manufacturing, operations, or plant management.

  • Broad knowledge of business functions, including safety, quality, production operations, accounting, inventory management, cost control/profit and loss management, and shipping.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to different manufacturing environments.

  • Willingness to travel extensively (50-60%) as needed.
