Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, TX is hiring Hospital Maintenance Technician III to perform advanced maintenance on hospital systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life-safety equipment. The role supports emergency response, preventive maintenance, and facility projects while coordinating with staff and contractors to minimize disruption to patient care.

Qualifications

• Five years experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
• Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade that is relative to healthcare engineering (Steam boiler, HVAC, etc)
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate logs on all equipment and provides for a safe working environment.
• Maintains and repairs equipment including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems.
• Maintains the building and its related systems.
• Certified and/or licensed in a specific trade that is directly related to healthcare engineering.

We are seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician I I I , also referred to as a Plant Operations Technician III or Boiler Operator III. The Hospital Maintenance Tech III is responsible for a dvanced maintenance and repairs on hospital systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety equipment to ensure a safe and operational healthcare environment. This role also supports emergency response, preventive maintenance, and facility projects while coordinating with staff and contractors to minimize disruption to patient care.
