Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician in California to maintain site reliability by performing high-quality inspections and routine maintenance with minimal supervision. The role includes replacing basic components and supporting preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

The technician will inspect equipment, troubleshoot belts, pumps, and crushers, perform welding and fabrication, and ensure compliance with MSHA/OSHA.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2 to 5+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in aggregate/mining/heavy industrial sectors.
• Familiarity with heavy quarry equipment and inspection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post-shift inspections and routine PM tasks.
• Troubleshoot and replace basic mechanical components like conveyors and pumps.
• Repair structural components and weld/cut using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain service and maintenance logs for plant equipment.
• Adhere to MSHA/OSHA regulations and LOTO protocols.
