Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and mechanical inspections at our Georgia aggregates facility. You will troubleshoot components, replace belts and pumps, and perform structural repairs using welding and grinding equipment.

The role requires strict adherence to MSHA/OSHA regulations, LOTO protocols, and safe working practices. You will document maintenance logs and contribute to equipment reliability on-site.

Qualifications

Requires High School diploma or GED.
Experience with plant maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting preferred.
Familiarity with MSHA/OSHA safety regulations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections and perform scheduled maintenance to prevent failures.
Troubleshoot and replace basic mechanical components (belts, idlers, pulleys, water pumps).
Perform structural repairs and wear-part replacement with welding, cutting and grinding.
Adhere to MSHA/OSHA regulations and implement LOTO protocols to maintain a hazard-free area.
Observe operations to identify anomalies and make minor adjustments as needed.
Record and maintain service logs, lubrication reports, and maintenance records.
