Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods’ Seattle facility is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair production and facility equipment to maximize uptime. You’ll work on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems while upholding strict food safety and GMP standards.

We value strong communication, teamwork, and meticulous documentation, with a shift of 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a maintenance role or similar industrial/technical field.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is a strong plus.
Ability to follow technical manuals, SOPs, and safety protocols with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and work orders to ensure equipment reliability and production uptime.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on plant machinery.
Diagnose issues and perform root-cause analysis to minimize downtime.
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in the digital work order system.
Support installation, modification, and startup of new production equipment.
Adhere to safety, food safety (SQF/HACCP), and GMPs.
Assist with projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Communicate equipment status and concerns with production and leadership teams.
