Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician in Hughson, California to ensure continuous, safe operation of asphalt production machinery. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair drum dryers, conveyors, and baghouses, and perform a rigorous preventative maintenance program.

The role requires welding (Arc/MIG/TIG), lubrication scheduling, and adherence to OSHA and environmental standards. You will train others and help manage maintenance backlog with the Plant Manager.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or relevant experience.
• At least 1 year in heavy-duty industrial maintenance, preferably asphalt.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance.
• Strong problem solving, detail orientation, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions in asphalt plant equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Repair or replace defective parts and adjust components.
• Conduct welding and torch-cutting to fabricate/repair structures.
• Complete maintenance logs and safety paperwork per standards.
