Summary/Job Scope: Plant Maintenance Technician 1

Purpose of Position: A plant maintenance troubleshoots equipment, performs PM’s, completes daily paperwork, and maintains good housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems in the plant.
• Lubrication of all plant equipment.
• Assisting in emergency repair situations of plant.
• Skilled preventive maintenance diagnosis.
• Jackhammering as needed.
• Maintenance and cleaning of dust collector.
• Complete daily paperwork.
• Fabrication both steel and wood
• Maintain good housekeeping at shop.
• Threading pipe and plumbing
• Conveyor belt repairs.
  
  

Qualifications And Education

• High mechanical aptitude
• General knowledge of Redi-mix plant preferred.
• Ability to operate Forklift-Company will train
• Ability to operate Manlift-Company will train
• Ability to fabricate items based on print.
• Ability to cut and weld.
• Ability to rig equipment for lifting.
• Able to be fitted for a respirator.
• Able to lift 50-100 pounds.
• Not afraid of heights-candidate must be okay with walking up a 320 foot conveyer belt at 45 degree angle.
