Job summary

Sunrock is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician for PM shifts in North Carolina. The role will diagnose, repair and support day-to-day plant maintenance across locations, with flexibility for day, evening and overnight shifts and potential overtime.

The technician must be motivated, able to work independently, and communicate issues to the Plant Maintenance Manager. The position requires mechanical aptitude, welding experience, and ability to read English; responsibilities include equipment

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Welding experience preferred.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical systems across plant locations.
• Inspect equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Operate skid steer, dumper, and sweeper as needed.
• Disassemble, repair or replace gauges, valves and regulators.
• Perform welding: TIG, MIG and Stick welding.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas in compliance with safety policies.
• Record maintenance actions and parts used.
• Climb stairs and catwalks to access equipment.
• Load/unload materials; support site cleanup.
• Comply with safety policies; report unsafe conditions.
