Job summary

Westlake is seeking a Senior Maintenance/Plant Manager to direct repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery and facilities at the Prairie Plant in the United States. The role oversees a team, drives safety, and coordinates with engineering, quality, and management to optimize operations.

The candidate will lead preventative maintenance programs, manage capex input, and ensure timely work orders, training, and performance metrics across maintenance and facilities teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with an approved Instrument/Electrical course or equivalent field experience.
• 8+ years of plant maintenance/repair experience.
• Proven supervisory/administrative abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficient in SAP (S/4) and MS Office.
• Ability to communicate with all management levels.

Responsibilities

• Safety & environment: support accident prevention and environmental excellence; inspect machines for standards; resolve safety issues with management and engineering.
• Supply Chain: review spares inventories and procure critical spares.
• Production: plan, develop, and implement methods to improve operations and reduce costs; discuss equipment needs with project engineer.
• Control: supervise skilled workers maintaining equipment, structures, and utility systems; participate in strategic planning.
• Quality: supervise reliability engineer and maintenance staff; ensure timecards and work plans are accurate; review backlogs and set priorities.
