Job summary

Perdue Foods in Virginia's manufacturing network is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled maintenance team, plan and execute maintenance activities, and keep production running at peak efficiency while championing safe work practices. You will own preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot equipment, and coordinate rebuilds or replacements to minimize downtime.

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday and Sunday, every other Wednesday, 6:00pm–6:00am.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline, or equivalent technical education.
• 0-3 years of related experience.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Troubleshooting ability and technical knowledge of production, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure plant equipment is in top operating condition and available for production.
• Organize and plan regular maintenance work on all equipment and systems within the plant.
• Review preventive procedures and optimize maintenance processes with operations to identify problems and requirements.
• Supervise maintenance staff and ensure compliance with safety regulations, minimizing risks.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with regulations.
• Select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline staff.
• Evaluate functionality and reliability of facility systems and equipment and implement improvements.
