Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. in Denison, Iowa, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance mechanics and electricians across plant operations. You’ll drive preventive and predictive maintenance, supervise teams, and ensure equipment reliability to keep production lines running at peak performance.

You’ll develop maintenance plans, monitor KPIs, ensure regulatory compliance with USDA standards, and coach staff to build a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
Experience leading maintenance or technical teams and providing coaching.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills; able to work long hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

Lead Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive and preventive maintenance and repairs (plant, facilities, utilities).
Train staff on proper work methods and safety procedures; supervise maintenance systems and documentation.
Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules in collaboration with Production.
Monitor KPIs and report maintenance performance to management.
Ensure maintenance tasks comply with USDA regulations and maintain records.
