Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead hourly maintenance staff, oversee preventive maintenance programs, and support plant safety and quality standards at our Houston-area facility.

The role requires strong leadership, PLC troubleshooting, and electrical skills, with responsibilities including line support, parts management, and coordination with plant leaders. A bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven leadership or supervisory experience with demonstrated knowledge in industrial electrical wiring, PLC troubleshooting, motor control, and equipment repair and installation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the floor on shift: schedule and manage hourly staff, execute preventive maintenance (PMs), and manage line calls.
• Communicate shift preparation/meetings with previous and next shifts.
• Review parts requests and manage parts checked out on shift (Parts Tag Receipt).
• Utilize SAP to review work request notifications, PM orders, and update breakdown notifications.
• Execute small-scale maintenance projects.
• Maintain shift reporting and plan for the next day.
• Conduct employee reviews and coach technicians and apprentices.
• Conduct critical process inspections and PM verification of technicians.
