Job summary

AUTOKINITON is seeking a Superintendent to lead the maintenance team at our plant, driving reliability, safety, and continuous improvement aligned with the plant’s strategic goals.

You will coach supervisors, manage budgets, and coordinate with engineering and operations to maximize equipment uptime while maintaining safety standards. This role requires lean manufacturing experience and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applied science in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years as maintenance supervisor; 2+ years in management.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, stamping, and/or assembly processes.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to mentor and teach the team in effective problem-solving methods.
• Demonstrated experience applying lean manufacturing concepts.
• Proven leadership ability and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support mission, vision, values, and goals in daily activities.
• Lead direct reports with mentoring, coaching, and corrective action.
• Contribute input into the plant’s strategic business plan and track key measures.
• Develop and drive department strategy goals and track objectives.
• Provide direction aligned with business plan goals.
• Oversee maintenance safety, quality, production and delivery objectives.
• Lead all building and activities in the plant.
• Drive improvement activities related to business goals.
• Assist with plant activities to achieve customer cost reductions.
• Lead to meet/exceed customer expectations in related areas.
• Coordinate and assess required training and team building.
• Provide tools and training for success.
