• Mechanical/maintenance skills required, including basic mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting, welding/fabrication, wiring, motor controls and conveyor maintenance.
• Forklift operation certification may be required; ability to operate forklifts or skid-steer loaders.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document information.

Responsibilities

• Unload and wash all trailers, tankers and reefers; monitor cookers and wash plant areas.
• Load trucks and maintain the control room; complete accurate paperwork.
• Check lubrication, change oil and belts, perform PM and auger inspections; assist maintenance as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures.
