Job summary

Peterson Farms, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager in DeLand, FL to direct maintenance and reliability programs for our production facilities.

You will plan, schedule, and lead maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure safe, compliant operations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field with 3–5 years of management experience, and a proven ability to lead a diverse team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field with 3–5 years of management experience preferred.
• Ability to operate with accuracy, initiative, and effective communication.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive work style.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct maintenance, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance to support continuous production.
• Lead, train, and develop maintenance personnel; oversee priorities and safety standards.
• Maintain knowledge of plant systems including refrigeration, electrical, PLCs, and packaging equipment.
• Ensure reliable operation of plant utilities and support systems such as heat, steam, power, gas, and compressed air.
• Analyze data to identify issues and implement improvements to reduce costs and optimize labor and equipment.
• Manage maintenance budgets, projects, and equipment needs, collaborating with Engineering and Operations to complete on budget.
