Job summary

Peterson Farms, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager in DeLand, FL to direct maintenance and reliability programs for our production facilities.

You will plan, schedule, and lead maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure safe, compliant operations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field with 3–5 years of management experience, and a proven ability to lead a diverse team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct maintenance, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance to support continuous production.

• Maintain knowledge of plant systems including refrigeration, electrical, PLCs, and packaging equipment.
• Ensure reliable operation of plant utilities and support systems such as heat, steam, power, gas, and compressed air.
• Analyze data to identify issues and implement improvements to reduce costs and optimize labor and equipment.
• Manage maintenance budgets, projects, and equipment needs, collaborating with Engineering and Operations to complete on budget.

MAINTENANCE MANAGER

OVERVIEW

The Maintenance Manager directs and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in the repair, maintenance, and installation of production equipment and facilities maintenance by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate personnel.

Duties:

• Plans and directs maintenance, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance activities to support continuous production and minimize equipment downtime.
• Leads, trains, and develops maintenance personnel, coordinating work priorities and reinforcing company policies, safety standards, and performance expectations.
• Maintains knowledge of plant operational systems and equipment, including refrigeration, electrical, air and piping systems, PLCs, filling and packaging equipment, and support systems.
• Ensures reliable operation of plant utilities and support systems, including heat, steam, electrical power, gas, and compressed air needed to maintain continuous production.
• Analyzes maintenance, production, and quality data to identify issues, implement process improvements, reduce operating costs, and optimize labor and equipment utilization.
• Manages maintenance resources, budgets, projects, and equipment needs, collaborating with Engineering, Production, Quality, and management to resolve issues and complete projects safely, effectively, and on budget.

Requirements:
