Morton Salt, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous plant asset performance.

You will lead the maintenance staff, optimize preventive programs, manage budgets, and drive improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role requires 5–10 years in maintenance management within manufacturing or salt processing, with strong leadership, safety, and process improvement capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of maintenance management experience in manufacturing or salt processing environments.
• Proficient in maintenance management software (e.g., SAP).
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Strong leadership, safety, quality focus; union environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Maintenance Department to ensure asset uptime and budget targets.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies and preventive programs.
• Lead and develop maintenance staff, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Manage budgets, including maintenance, supplies, and contractor costs.
• Coordinate with General Manager on strategic plans and capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
