Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Safety-minded Utility Person to join our team at Red Hill Quarry in Virginia. The role involves cross-functional duties in plant maintenance, production, and equipment operation, including greasing, inspection, and log maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position.
• Experience in the building materials industry (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on plant equipment, including cutting and welding under supervision.
• Perform daily pre/post-shift inspections and maintain maintenance log.
• Operate equipment such as skid steer and loaders to clean around equipment and maintain roadways.
• Operate a water truck to limit airborne dust and support production operations.
• Assist with production, loading/shipping and quality control as needed.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe traffic flow throughout the site.
