Job summary

Knife River Northwest is seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to help keep our plants and equipment running. You will perform hydraulic, pneumatic repairs and welding, with a focus on safety and quality.

Typical schedule is 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with possible weekends, overtime and travel. Must provide own basic hand tools; Knife River provides specialty tooling and has a replacement policy. Apply at jobs.kniferiver.com.

Qualifications

• Requires experience in plant maintenance or millwright/mechanic roles.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems and perform welding.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background/drug screen.

Job Summary

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed
• Other duties assigned as needed

Position is considered Safety Sensitive: Work is performed in an industrial environment with large equipment and suspended loads.

Schedule

Hours: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm - Monday - Friday.

Wage range: $27.38 - $41.92

Must have the ability to work flexible shifts which include weekends, overtime, and some travel as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous plant maintenance, millwright or mechanic experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills of hydraulic systems
• Welding and fabrication experience desirable
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen
• Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members
