Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior mechanical experience and welding experience, training or certification required.
• Prior plant maintenance mechanic experience a plus.
• Bi-lingual (a plus).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance mechanic assignments on plant equipment and facilities.
• Collect data for preventative and predictive plant maintenance projects.
• Perform millwright tasks such as bearing replacement, alignment and inspection/repair of power transmission.
• Perform welding and cutting tasks for fabrication and repair of equipment and structures.
• Inspect lubrication for mechanical equipment and record data; change oil and filters as required.
• Perform pipefitter assignments to install and maintain piping structures.
• Operate mobile equipment to assist with maintenance duties.
• Perform plumbing inspection and repair on plant equipment and facilities.
• Adhere to CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA rules; wear safety equipment at all times.
• Meet or exceed company safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
