Job summary

Ashton North LLC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support daily operations at our Connecticut manufacturing facility. The role focuses on maintaining production machinery, mechanical systems, and facilities, ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, heating, and air conditioning.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, including Epicor 10.
• Forklift operation skills.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities.
• High attention to detail and flexibility in changing work environments.
• Strong English communication skills; Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery using manuals, diagrams, and specifications.
• Troubleshoot, repair, program, and maintain machinery and equipment.
• Maintain mechanical systems including heating, cooling, and air‑conditioning equipment.
• Complete repairs to facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Perform general maintenance tasks involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and cleaning.
• Repair and adjust locks on doors, cabinets, and closets.
• Assist with moving furniture and equipment and setting up or breaking down rooms.
• Communicate maintenance needs and equipment status with coworkers across shifts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
