Job summary

American Concrete Products is seeking a skilled maintenance mechanic to join our plant team. You will maintain and repair forms, machinery, equipment, and facilities to maximize productivity and ensure safe operations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairing hydraulic systems, motors, and plumbing. The role requires a minimum of 3 years in maintenance, blueprints literacy, and welding experience is a plus. Competitive benefits apply after 60 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, mechanic and/or industrial maintenance in a plant environment.
• Experience working on diesel engines on heavy equipment preferred.
• SMAW and MIG welding experience a plus.
• Fabrication experience.
• Must be able to read blueprints with ease.
• Some experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role required.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems a plus.
• Building maintenance and upkeep, specializing in plumbing pneumatics, electrical.

Responsibilities

• Assist Maintenance team with troubleshooting and repairing plant equipment, including mixers, batch plants, hydraulic systems, and motors.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks such as tightening bolts, changing filters, lubricating equipment, and replacing worn parts.
• Support scheduled preventative maintenance activities and document work performed.
• Help maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and shop organization.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other plant equipment as trained.
• Assist with building maintenance tasks such as minor plumbing, electrical, and structural repairs.
• Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage
• Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs
• Clean work areas, remove debris, and help ensure the maintenance shop and plant remain safe and organized.
