Job summary

Our client, a well-regarded food and beverage manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance Manager II to lead the plant's maintenance organization. You will run preventive and corrective maintenance programs, guide electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, manage contractors, and drive reliability and continuous improvement.

You will partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other teams to improve equipment performance, support launches, control costs, and meet OSHA, GMP, and food safety

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of management experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience leading maintenance teams in a fast-paced production environment.
• Food and beverage manufacturing experience preferred.
• Background in reliability, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a results-driven approach.
• Knowledge of OSHA, environmental, GMP, and food safety requirements; Lean principles.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance department to ensure plant equipment, utilities, and facilities run reliably.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Direct electrical, mechanical, and general equipment troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Production to reduce downtime and increase throughput.
• Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, OSHA, environmental, and food safety requirements.
• Hire, onboard, train, and develop maintenance staff with clear performance expectations.
• Apply Lean and continuous improvement to maintenance practices and equipment performance.
• Manage contractors and outside service providers safely.
• Support Engineering on launches of new products and processes.
• Maintain maintenance documentation and records of activity and compliance.
• Identify safety risks in equipment design and processes and implement corrective actions.
• Plan staffing, training, and development across shifts.
