Job summary

Conrad Yelvington Distributors, a CRH company, is seeking a Full-Time Night Plant Maintenance Lead for the Lamont, FL quarry. The role focuses on daily plant maintenance, repairs, and installations, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Expect to handle paperwork, coordinate with management, and operate heavy equipment as needed. You should have at least 2 years in maintenance, familiarity with MSHA regulations, and experience with mining equipment, welding, and fabrication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in the maintenance field.
• General experience with mining equipment and ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mining operations.
• Ability to make simple electrical diagnosis and repairs.
• Familiarity with MSHA regulations.
• Conveyor System repair experience.
• Experience in welding, acetylene cutting, fabrication, and plumbing.
• Experience in excavator operation and dredging preferred.

Responsibilities

Conrad Yelvington Distributors, a CRH company, supplies and distributes aggregate materials such as granite, river gravel, limestone, natural sand, and more. This rail served aggregate distribution network covers Florida, Southern Mississippi, South Carolina, and Alabama.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Night Plant Maintenance Lead for our Lamont, FL quarry.

The plant maintenance mechanic lead will be responsible for daily maintenance and repair of the plant, as well as other miscellaneous work that needs to be performed. Responsibilities will include plant maintenance, repair, and installation operations as assigned. Performing special maintenance projects and maintenance and repair on all facility equipment. Troubleshoot and determine appropriate maintenance, replacing defective parts as needed. Maintain machinery and mechanical equipment in use at the plant.

The mechanic will be responsible for the completion of the necessary paperwork that is required as well as communicating any maintenance that needs to be completed to management. This person will also be expected to follow all safety regulations set forth by the company. The mechanic will also be responsible for maintaining a clean work environment. This includes all equipment as well as the facility.

The mechanic will be responsible for keeping and turning in the required paperwork for Maintenance needs, Parts and Service Work orders and Invoices, Safety Documentation.

Also, the mechanic may be asked to perform a wide range of duties within the plant such as operating heavy equipment and being willing to help wherever needed. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds alone and stand a good part of the day.

The mechanic will be working in varying weather conditions, in dust and noisy areas. Substantial walking, bending, stooping, lifting or working in awkward or strained positions. Some hazards involved due to working in and around trucks and machinery. The mechanic will be asked to work overtime as well as some weekends as business needs require.

Primary location: Lamont, FL, area.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Front-end loader, fork lift, and highlift experience preferred.

Minimum of 2 years in the maintenance field.

General experience with mining equipment and ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mining operations.

Ability to make simple electrical diagnosis and repairs.

Familiarity with MSHA regulations.

Conveyor System repair experience.

Experience in welding, acyletene cutting, fabrication, and plumbing.

Experience in excavator operation and dredging preferred.
