Job summary

Crystal Creamery in Fortuna, CA seeks a Plant Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team in a dairy processing facility. You will plan and supervise preventive maintenance, schedule repairs, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime.

You will manage maintenance budgets, track performance, and collaborate with production and engineering to optimize plant reliability and safety compliance. Experience in dairy preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering (or related field).
• Minimum 5 years in a maintenance role in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity; dairy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise the maintenance team; assign tasks and evaluate performance.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce breakdowns.
• Schedule maintenance with minimal disruption to plant operations.
• Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed; conduct safety audits.
• Manage maintenance inventory and budget; track spending and costs.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to optimize plant reliability.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
