Job summary

Tyson Foods in Robards, KY is hiring a Maintenance Generalist. The role covers troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing plant equipment while upholding safety standards and Tyson policies.

It features rotating 3- and 4-day schedules with 12-hour shifts and requires a mechanical background, basic SAP usage for work orders, and strong communication with team members and USDA personnel. Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of mechanic experience or are completing an industrial maintenance

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of mechanic work experience or a graduate/student of an industrial maintenance training program.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements (lift 70 lbs, stand for 12 hours).
• Willing to learn Tyson SAP to create work orders and document daily activity.
• Must communicate well with team members, producers, USDA personnel and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all equipment and assets.
• Assist maintenance supervisor with personnel and equipment.
• Assign maintenance techs to equipment during process periods.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns.
• Utilize computer-based PM program to track maintenance.
