Andersen Corporation is seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Manager for our Des Moines, IA plant. You will lead maintenance and facilities teams, manage budgets, and ensure preventive maintenance aligns with production needs.

Key responsibilities include directing staff, coordinating internal and external maintenance, and driving cost-effective facility improvements while maintaining compliance and security of the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in building operations, manufacturing environments, and maintenance.
• Ability to balance technical expertise with leadership and strategic thinking.
• Proven capacity to evaluate complex situations, prioritize demands, and make sound decisions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with data analysis, communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly oversee, supervise, and develop a team of maintenance and facilities technicians, including performance management, coaching, scheduling, and daily work direction.
• Manage the departmental budget and coordinate activities of the maintenance department in a timely manner.
• Accountable for the preventive maintenance program and maintenance of production equipment and facilities.
• Develop objectives and standards of performance for projects within maintenance and facilities to meet goals.
• Plan and direct in-house staff and external contractors in the maintenance of buildings and grounds within budget and quality constraints.
• Oversee renovations, obtain cost estimates, coordinate construction/repair projects and select outside contractors.
