Job summary

Our client, a manufacturing company, seeks an experienced Director of Machine Maintenance to oversee maintenance operations, develop preventive and predictive programs, and drive reliability, safety, and productivity across the plant.

You will lead a team of technicians, manage budgets, coordinate with vendors, and implement strategies to minimize downtime while meeting OSHA and environmental standards, located in Ridgefield Park, NJ.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of maintenance director experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance strategy including preventive and predictive programs.
• Recruit, train, and manage maintenance staff and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, control costs, and allocate resources efficiently.
• Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with OSHA, environmental regulations, and safety policies.
• Oversee procurement of spare parts and manage relationships with external service providers and manufacturers.
• Maintain maintenance records, analyze data, and report on KPIs and downtime.
