Maintenance Manager – Jefferson, OH

Since 1971, Presrite Corporation has been providing world‑class forging solutions to our customers. We have three modern manufacturing plants and a dedicated technical division for engineering and die‑making capabilities, all centrally located in northeast Ohio. Press sizes range from 1,300 to 6,000 tons, forging approximately 125,000 tons of steel annually. Forgings we provide range from 2 to 300 pounds, all produced to the latest International quality standards. JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring equipment is in proper working condition at all times, with an emphasis on reducing unexpected and repeat failures. This position reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime and identifies opportunities for improvement through data analysis.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive)

• Manages and implements a plant maintenance program based on the Presrite Strategic Asset Maintenance Program and maintenance and reliability best practices, with emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventative/predictive maintenance principles.
• Coordinates maintenance activities with Plant Operations and communicates directly with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.
• Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance metrics such as Schedule Attainment, Preventive Maintenance Completion (PMC) and Preventive Maintenance On Time Completion (PMoC) in alignment with the Presrite Strategic Asset Management Program.
• Builds up and maintains clear communication and close cooperation with all relevant internal stakeholders (plant staff, corporate Maintenance, Automation and Reliability Managers, engineering) and external stakeholders (including customers).
• Generates and implements ideas that improve safety, quality, and cost indicators, in line with investment & service goals.
• Ensures maximum plant availability through the implementation and use of established reliability principles and optimal asset management as spelled out in the Presrite Strategic Asset Management Program.
• Is responsible for equipment maintenance (presses, furnaces, conveyors, etc.), and the overall building and facilities maintenance (reliability, performance, cost).
• Manages a team of Maintenance Technicians.
• Ensures adherence to all Health & Safety procedures.
• Attains and maintains CMRP Certification.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, Management or a related field; or technical certification in combination with work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of industrial maintenance experience; at least 3 years in a maintenance leadership role, with experience in preventive maintenance, CMMS, and troubleshooting preferred. Experience leading teams and performing predictive and preventive maintenance is required.
• CMRP certification is desired.
• Demonstrated proficiency in creating and working with documents in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods.
• Adherence to policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse work groups and floor associates.
• Excellent time management and leadership capabilities.
