Job summary
Siemens Energy is seeking a Plant Layout & Mechanical Engineer to support the engineering and execution of Combined Cycle power plant projects from proposal development through commissioning. You will work with global teams on plant layout development, mechanical system design and equipment integration.
You will collaborate with customers, suppliers and engineering teams to solve technical challenges and ensure project objectives are met, while applying your technical expertise to deliver
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or related field.
- 3+ years in plant layout engineering, mechanical engineering or power generation environments.
- Experience with AutoCAD, AVEVA E3D, PDMS or similar CAD tools.
- Knowledge of power plant systems and multidisciplinary interfaces.
- Strong communication, teamwork and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review plant layouts, 3D/2D models, equipment arrangements and plot plans.
- Coordinate mechanical activities with multidisciplinary project teams throughout execution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve technical issues and optimize designs.
- Support specification, evaluation and integration of mechanical equipment and systems.
- Review supplier documentation and support procurement, manufacturing and integration.
- Support construction, commissioning, startup and design review activities.
