Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Drafting/CAD Engineer for a prominent client, located 100% onsite in Concord, NC. The role requires producing precise technical drawings and facility layouts, coordinating with various facility services, and supporting plant-layout changes.

A minimum of 5 years CAD drafting experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor are expected. The position is a W2 contract for 1 year with possible extension or conversion, offering a competitive hourly pay

Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in Drafting, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years' CAD drafting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or equivalents.

Responsibilities

Produce accurate, high-quality technical drawings and documentation for layouts and upgrades.
Create floor plans showing equipment locations, clearances, and safety zones.
Coordinate equipment placement with electrical power, controls, and facility services.
Prepare installation and relocation drawings for production equipment and foundations.
Support capacity expansion and plant-layout changes with engineering teams.
Incorporate vendor drawings and field data into final layouts and as-built documentation.
Ensure layouts enable safe operation and maintenance access.
Review drawings to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals.
