Position Overview

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform a wide range of general labor duties at an asphalt plant.
2. Assist on heavy highway or production crews as needed.
3. Activities include shoveling, raking, traffic control, moving materials, setting forms, stripping and cleaning concrete forms, pouring concrete, shoveling, vibrating, and maintaining safety and cleanliness.
4. Experience with asphalt and equipment operation is beneficial.

Requirements

• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 30 pounds, walk, stoop, squat, sit, kneel, and pass a physical examination.
• Knowledge of basic tools, mathematical and measurement skills.
• Preferred: One year of verifiable experience in road construction, quarry, or asphalt plant.
• Reliability in attendance, positive attitude, and adherence to safety standards.
