Job summary

Air Products invites a hands-on IT–OT Systems Support Specialist to troubleshoot and resolve production-impacting issues in a manufacturing setting. You will support IT and OT systems on the plant floor, collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Cybersecurity, IT, and vendors to keep production reliable.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of IT/OT infrastructure experience in manufacturing environments, with strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands‑on experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting IT infrastructure, OT systems, manufacturing technology, or industrial systems.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, chemical, production, plant, or operations environment.
• Proven hands‑on technical support in environments where system downtime directly impacts production.
• Experience supporting industrial or enterprise software platforms used in manufacturing operations.
• Ability to work in manufacturing facilities, production areas, and plant‑floor environments while adhering to site safety requirements.
• Willingness to provide off‑hours support for critical outages, upgrades, deployments, or production‑impacting incidents as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work based on safety, production impact, and business urgency.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering reliable technology support.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve production-impacting IT and OT issues on the plant floor.
• Provide hands-on technical support for IT/OT systems, collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Cybersecurity, IT, and vendors.
• Ensure reliable plant operations and high availability of critical systems.
• Document issues, actions, and root-cause analyses for continuous improvement.
