Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures in Lancaster, SC is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR services, policies, and programs with a strong focus on culture, hiring, and retention. You will align HR staff and programs to meet organizational objectives and ensure a safe working environment while supporting quality, production, and financial goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
• 7 years' minimum experience in Human Resources.
• Industrial manufacturing experience; LEAN preferred.
• Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Highly motivated team player with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to assess risk and develop HR plans to mitigate liability.
• Experience supporting HR in union/non-union environments with retention programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer HR plans and procedures for plant personnel.
• Plan, organize and control all activities of the HR Department.
• Set departmental goals and systems; contribute to organizational objectives.
• Manage compensation program, job descriptions, merit pool and evaluations.
• Policy development and benefits administration including annual enrollment.
• Assist Safety Manager with workers' comp and cost-effective policy reviews.
• Maintain affirmative action, EEO-1 filings, and HR records.
• Coordinate staffing needs; supervise recruitment for exempt/non-exempt roles.
• Ensure job approvals and compensation stay within guidelines.
• Establish the HR strategic plan to support annual objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement and improve people management quality.
• Work with urgency to meet timelines and uphold corporate values.
