Job summary

Piston Group is seeking an HR Generalist to administer hourly HR policies, partner with plant leaders, and ensure clear understanding of procedures to improve morale, productivity, and retention. You will maintain records for hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and government reporting.

This role trains supervisors, conducts new hourly employee orientation, ensures compliance with legal requirements, and supports benefits programs, leave, and employee relations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a HR Generalist role.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration or related field.
• PHR and/or SPHR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer benefits programs for hourly employees (vacation, sick leave, FMLA, disability, tuition reimbursement, EAP).
• Partner with Plant leadership to resolve routine and complex problems using policy knowledge and guidance.
• Evaluate and improve HR processes and procedures.
• Manage hourly performance review program for compliance and equity.
• Maintain positive performance, work habits, and professional demeanor.
• Assist with accident investigations and prepare reports for insurance.
• Prepare layoff notices and unemployment claims.
• Prepare employee separation notices and conduct exit interviews.
• Foster a positive work environment through teambuilding and fair policies.
