Job summary

Ardagh Glass Packaging is seeking an HR Generalist to support the Plant HR Manager and leadership team. This role provides daily HR operations administration and confidential support to management and staff.

Responsibilities include payroll processing, benefits administration, HRIS, and employee relations. The candidate will help ensure policy compliance and fair treatment across the plant workforce.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of HR experience.
• FMLA, benefits administration, and payroll processing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle confidential matters.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly union hourly payroll for 250 to 350 employees and assist with salaried payroll adjustments.
• Administer and manage accruals and absenteeism in the timekeeping system.
• Investigate employee relations issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Administer and monitor EEOC, Affirmative Action, and OSHA compliance programs.
• Ensure proper documentation for disciplinary actions, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
• Support HR activities to ensure legal compliance, fairness, and consistency.
• Administer benefits programs, HRIS transactions, and employee files.
• Provide confidential administrative support to plant leadership.
• Resolve questions on sick leaves, vacations, and other benefits.
• Plan and execute employee events and plant activities.
• Maintain good relations with employees, union, and salaried staff.
• Comply with environmental and food safety standards.
