Job summary

AJM Packaging Corporation in Joplin, MO is seeking an HR Administrative Assistant to support plant-level HR activities, with a focus on recruiting and staffing, and to act as the liaison between the plant and corporate HR. Qualifications

• Associate degree and two years or more of related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous recruiting experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to speak and write in Spanish would be extremely beneficial.
• Working knowledge of personal computers and various software applications.
• Possess strong organizational skills and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Directly participate in all phases of the recruiting, interviewing, and staffing processes at the plant level.
• Process benefits documentation for life, health, dental and disability insurance, leave, and related programs.
• Schedule and conduct new employee orientations.
• Respond to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
• Assist Corporate HR in implementing new or updated policies at the plant level.
• Ensure performance reviews are conducted timely.
• Maintain personnel records (hires, promotions, disciplinary actions, reviews, terminations, injury summaries).
• Complete and organize new hire packets and I-9 forms.
• Conduct new hire follow-up interviews and exit interviews.
• Maintain HiLo Licenses and organize file of new hires and active employees.
• Process time-off requests.
• Assist with tracking attendance point system.
• All other duties the Supervisor deems necessary.
