Sealed Air is seeking a Plant Helper in Reading, PA to support the manufacturing line by following established procedures and assisting in producing quality products that meet customer demand.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, and strong English skills. You should be reliable, safety‑minded, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience driving forklifts is required.
• Ability to follow directions and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Select and measure materials to specifications for production.
• Resolve issues in production, machinery, and packaging operations.
• Perform daily safety inspections.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Move finished rolls and support line production.
• Other duties as assigned.

Role Summary

Under direction of the Foremen, the PLANT HELPER assists with manufacturing quality products to meet customer demand. The position requires following established operating procedures for operating various equipment and machinery in the paper manufacturing process and required to train for advancement in the line of progression on the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Select and measure raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing
• Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations
• Daily safety inspections
• Operate fork lift
• Move finished rolls
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience driving fork lifts
• Strong work ethic
• Previous manufacturing experience required
• Experienced in paper manufacturing desired
• High School Diploma or equivalent desired
• Ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work safely and follow all policies required
• Reliable transportation required
• Ability to read, write, and fluently speak English, required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for up to 6 hours per 8-hour shift
• Ability to walk for up to 6 hours per 8-hour shift
