Job summary

Sealed Air in Reading, PA seeks a Plant Helper to support manufacturing operations and meet customer demand. You will follow established procedures to operate equipment in the paper production process and train for advancement on the line.

The role involves selecting materials, maintaining safety practices, operating a forklift, and moving finished rolls with minimal supervision. A strong work ethic and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience driving forklifts is required.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and fluently speak English.

Responsibilities

• Select and measure raw materials and parts to specifications for production.
• Resolve issues related to production, machinery, processing or packaging.
• Perform daily safety inspections.
• Operate forklift and move finished rolls.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Under direction of the Foremen, the PLANT HELPER assists with manufacturing quality products to meet customer demand. The position requires following established operating procedures for operating various equipment and machinery in the paper manufacturing process and required to train for advancement in the line of progression on the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Select and measure raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing
• Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations
• Daily safety inspections
• Operate fork lift
• Move finished rolls
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience driving fork lifts
• Strong work ethic
• Previous manufacturing experience required
• Experienced in paper manufacturing desired
• High School Diploma or equivalent desired
• Ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work safely and follow all policies required
• Reliable transportation required
• Ability to read, write, and fluently speak English, required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for up to 6 hours per 8-hour shift
• Ability to walk for up to 6 hours per 8-hour shift
• Ability to bend, left, and push
• Self-motivated
• Works with minimal direction to complete tasks
