Job summary

General Shale is seeking a reliable janitorial/groundskeeping team member to maintain cleanliness across the plant and facilities in a manufacturing environment. The role includes cleaning equipment, floors, restrooms, and office areas, with general housekeeping support to the team.

High school diploma or GED is required, and prior experience is a plus but not mandatory. Candidates should be able to perform physical tasks, work independently, and pay close attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior janitorial or groundskeeping experience is a plus, but not required.
• Reliable and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform physical work (lifting, walking, bending, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Clean cement mixer and block machine/press at the end of shift
• Remove built-up concrete and debris from equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of plant grounds, including picking up trash and debris
• Clean and maintain restrooms, break rooms, and office areas
• Sweep, mop, and wash floors in plant and common areas
• Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed
• Keep walkways and work areas clear and safe
• Support the team with general housekeeping throughout the plant
