• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively with other employees.

Responsibilities

• General plant labor and cleanup of production areas; report any conditions that could lead to nonconformity.
• Trained in various entry-level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences, and high demand.
• Perform kiln outage work including removal and installation of kiln refractory.
• Report equipment problems identified to management.
• Complete equipment pre-shift report, if applicable.
• Clean work areas; shovel stone from conveyors; maintain bathroom facilities.
