Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a General Manager in Winesburg, OH to drive sales growth, retain customers, and ensure profitability and regulatory compliance. You will lead plant operations, safety, and staff development while coordinating budgets and supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years in a midlevel management role in an industrial/plant setting.
• Experience in rendering industry is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead and direct personnel; strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates activities of personnel, plant equipment, and fleet associated with raw material processing and finished goods storage and distribution.
• Develops and mentors management staff including Office Manager, Fleet Manager, Plant Manager and others.
• Ensures compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and objectives.
• Develops, implements, and monitors annual plant budget; reviews monthly expenditures.
• Approves accounts payable following corporate procedures.
• Recruits and hires plant, fleet, and administrative personnel; selects for management training.
• Sets wage rates subject to corporate approval; ensures proper training of all employees.
• Maintains supplier relationships and monitors new suppliers in the geographic area.
• Leads safety program; prioritizes safety per company rules and regulations.
• Oversees plant transportation needs for raw materials and finished products; manages all transport modes.
• All other duties as assigned.
